The Other was founded in 2002 in Leichlingen (Germany). The founding members are Rod Usher (vocals), Sarge von Rock (guitar), Dr. Caligari (drums) and Andy Only (bass). Today the band consists of Rod Usher, Pat Laveau, Ben Crowe, Aaron Torn and Dr. Caligari - since 2025 Andy Only is also back on board, joined by J. Ends (guitar), Van Tom (guitar) and Jag Boone (drums). The Other play horror punk, a mixture of melodic punk rock, heavy metal influences and dark lyrics and stage outfits inspired by horror films. Their discographic milestones begin with the debut album They're Alive! (2004), followed by We Are Who We Eat (2006) and Tales of the Other: The Comic (2007). This was followed by The Place to Bleed (2008), New Blood (2010), The Devils You Know (2012), Fear Itself (2015), Casket Case (2017) and Haunted (2020). Another album, Alienated, will be released on October 31, 2025.
