Antonio Martins Correia Filho, known professionally as Nico Rezende, was born on October 13, 1960, in São Paulo, Brazil. He is a Brazilian singer and composer who studied piano, classical guitar, and synthesizer techniques. Rezende began his career playing in orchestras at balls before moving to Rio de Janeiro in 1983, where he worked as a keyboard player for Ritchie's musical band. His breakthrough came with the release of his first LP, Nico Rezende, in 1987, which featured the prominent composition "Esquece e vem" (with Paulinho Lima), the theme song for the soap opera O outro. Throughout his career, he collaborated extensively as a musical arranger for notable artists such as Marina Lima, Gal Costa, Roberto Carlos, and Lulu Santos. He released several albums including Jogo de ilusões (1988), Nico (1989), Tudo ficou pra trás (1990), Curta a vida (2001), and Paraíso Invisível (2007).
