Diodati, a German band originating from the Gothic rock group Westwerk around 2000, was formed by Gwydion Enbarr and AjNa. The duo initially focused on setting classical texts to piano music, releasing their first recordings under the title I in 2003. Their breakthrough came with the concept album Souls Lament (2005), which explored themes of unrequited love and led to a label deal with Bright Light Records. The band's lineup evolved over time, incorporating new members like Svyati and Dr. Elias, who contributed to albums such as Diem supremum obire (2011) and Susurrus Lake (2013), which featured a collage of sounds and themes centered around a lake.
