Willy Clément, born in 1918 in Cairo, was a French baritone known for his roles in light opera and operetta. He moved to France at a young age and began his musical training at the Conservatoire de Paris in 1938. Due to World War II, he completed his studies in Lyon and graduated in 1941. Clément made his debut as Martin in Le Chemineau by Xavier Leroux and later joined the Opéra-Comique in Paris, where he performed roles such as Figaro in The Barber of Seville. He also participated in French premieres like The Rape of Lucretia (1948) and The Love for Three Oranges (1952). Clément's career included appearances at various French provincial theaters. His notable recordings include Ciboulette, Véronique, and La Vie parisienne. Willy Clément passed away in 1965 in Paris.
