Scornage, a thrash metal band from Aachen, Germany, was founded in 1998 by Volker Rahn on guitar and Markus Breuer on bass, who had prior experience with the Alsdorfer band Graysten. In 1998, Tom Freyer (drums), Peter Povse (guitar), and Andy Thelen (vocals) joined the lineup. Scornage released their debut mini-CD Ascend in 2000, which was well-received by the underground scene. The band toured extensively with Japanese acts such as Terror Squad and King's Evil throughout Europe. In 2004, they released their first full-length album, Sick of Being Human, on MDD Records and World Chaos Prod. Notable albums include Pure Motorized Instinct (2006) and Born to Murder the World (2009). The band also initiated the "Mosh it up" festival in Aachen. Their final album, ReaFEARance, was released in 2012 on Massacre Records and Soulfood.
