Ikue Sakakibara, born 榊原郁恵 on May 8, 1959 in Japan, is a singer and actress. She began her career by participating in the Talent Scout Caravan organized by Horipro in 1976, which she won. Her musical debut came on January 1, 1977, with the single "Watashi no Sensei" (My Teacher). Sakakibara was promoted alongside idols Mizue Takada and Yukiko Shimizu, dubbed the "Fresh San'nin Musume" (three fresh girls). In 1978, her single "Natsu No Ojousan" (Summer Girl) reached number 11 on the Oricon charts. That same year, she was invited to appear on Kohaku Uta Gassen, a prestigious Japanese music show, and would subsequently make five more appearances. In 1981, Sakakibara debuted in the musical Peter Pan, playing the title role for seven years. Her notable singles include "Itoshi No Robin Hood-sama" (My Darling Robin Hood), "Do It BANG BANG", "Seishun Kiryū" (Youth Airflow), and "ROBOT". In 1987, she married Japanese actor Toru Watanabe and gave birth to two sons. After her marriage, Sakakibara transitioned from music to hosting television programs such as Monomane Ōza Ketteisen.
