Gültekin Kaan Kaynak, known professionally as Gültekin Kaan, was born in Backnang, Germany. He is a German rock musician, singer, composer, lyricist, and poet. Kaan began his music career collaborating with notable artists such as Smokie, Erkin Koray, Cem Karaca, and Bahadır Akkuzu from Kurtalan Ekspres. Kaan's album Sofra was released in 2013. The album was released worldwide by Blue Flame Records/Rough Trade and featured the song "Perilerin Oyunu", which gained significant attention in Korea after being discussed on a radio show hosted by Yoo Se-yoon. With his band diVan, Kaan has been performing extensively across Europe and Turkey since 1998.
