Allotria Jazz Band, a traditional jazz combo, was founded in 1969 in Munich, Germany. The group initially performed as the house band at the Allotria Jazzgaststätte. Their early breakthrough came with appearances at notable festivals such as the Jazzfestival Burghausen and winning first prize at the Dinslaken Festival in 1970. In 1972, they released their debut single "My Mama Rocks Me / Podium Swing" and appeared on the TV series Der Kommissar. The band signed with Ariola Records and later Bellaphon, releasing albums like Jahrgang 1977 (1977) and Flat Foot (1983). They transitioned to Turicaphon's Elite Special label in 1983. Allotria Jazz Band expanded their repertoire beyond Dixieland to include Ragtime, Swing, Boogie Woogie, and Blues.
