Lindomar Castilho, born Lindomar Cabral on January 21, 1940, in Santa Helena de Goiás, was a Brazilian singer and songwriter. He performed music in genres including bolero and romantic samba-canção. Castilho began his career after being encouraged by music director Diogo Mulero and released his debut recording, Canções que não se esquecem, in 1964. He was one of the highest-selling artists in Brazil during the 1970s. His discography included the recordings “Chamarada”, “Você é doida demais”, and “Eu vou rifar meu coração”. These songs appeared on the studio albums Eu vou rifar meu coração (1973) and Chamarada (1977). In 1981, Castilho was convicted for the death of singer Eliane de Grammont and sentenced to prison. While incarcerated, he recorded the album Muralhas da solidão. He resumed his career in the 1990s and released the recording Lindomar Castilho ao vivo in 2000. Castilho died on December 20, 2025, in Goiânia.
