Ulla Henningsen is a Danish actress and singer born on March 7, 1951, in Kalundborg. She viewed a performance of the opera Tannhäuser at age 15 and later studied drama at the student school of the Aarhus Theatre from 1970 to 1972. Henningsen remained with the theatre until 1977, performing roles in the plays of Bertolt Brecht and the 1976 musical Cabaret. She performed the role of Iben Skjold Hansen in the television series Matador between 1978 and 1982. As a singer, she took the leading role in the 1992 television series Kald mig Liva. Her discography included the studio recordings Kald mig Liva (1992) and The Man I Love (1996). Henningsen received Reumert Awards for best supporting actress in 2001 and best actress in 2011. In 2023, she played the title role in the musical Margrethe.
