Leda Battisti, born on February 24, 1971, in Poggio Bustone, Rieti, Italy, is a singer. She graduated in classical guitar at the conservatory of Rieti and won the television show Partita doppia in 1992. After enrolling at CET, a music school founded by Mogol, Battisti collaborated with Ottmar Liebert and achieved her first success with "Come l'acqua al deserto" in 1998. She also recorded the song "Non sono un gatto," part of the soundtrack for the animated film Lucky and Zorba. In 1999, Battisti entered the Sanremo Music Festival with "Un fiume in piena," ranking third in the "Newcomers" section and winning the critic's prize. She returned to the Sanremo Festival in 2007 with "Senza me ti pentirai" and collaborated on the soundtrack of the animated film Pinocchio in 2012.
