Ronny & The Daytonas, an American surf rock band, were formed in Nashville, Tennessee in 1964. The group initially consisted of John "Bucky" Wilkin (songwriting, guitar, vocals), Paul Jensen (vocals, guitar), Thomas Ramey (bass, guitar), Lynn Williams (drums), and Lee Kraft (guitar). Their manager was Bill Justis, known for his hit "Raunchy", who helped form Buckhorn Music with Marijohn Wilkin. Signed to Mala Records, a sub-label of Bell Records, Ronny & The Daytonas released their debut single "G.T.O." in 1964, which reached number 4 on the Billboard Pop Singles chart and sold over one million copies, earning a gold disc. Their subsequent single "Bucket T" peaked at number 54 on the same chart. In 1964, they released their first album G.T.O., followed by another hit ballad "Sandy". The band switched to RCA Records in 1966 and released "Dianne, Dianne" and "All American Girl", both of which had moderate success. After a short tour, the group disbanded. In 1985, there was some interest in reuniting various band members for a few engagements, with the group appearing at a concert in upstate New York on July 4, 1995, and at The Baby Boomer Legends concert at "The Factory" in Franklin, Tennessee on April 24, 2015.
