Orhan Ölmez, born May 1, 1978, in Manavgat, Antalya, Turkey, is a Turkish singer who discovered his interest in music during the late 1980s while learning to play the bağlama. He completed his secondary education in Izmir and studied at the State Conservatory of Turkish Music at Ege University. Ölmez's career began at Izmir Radio's Turkish Folkloric Music department, where he worked for a year before moving to Istanbul as a songwriter and arranger. He released his debut album Su Misali in 2003, followed by Herşeyin Farkındayım in 2005, which featured hits like "Aşk Beni Sevmedi" and "Bensiz Aşka Doyma." In 2006, he won the Best Pop Singer award at the Kral TV Video Music Awards. Ölmez continued his success with Damla Damla in 2008 and a self-titled album in 2011.
