Jean Frank Cochois, known professionally as The Timewriter, is a German house music producer and disc jockey born in 1970. He began his musical education at a classical music school at the age of 13 and entered the music scene in 1994 through a collaboration with the label Plastic City. He released his debut 12-inch single in (1995). Since 2001, he has released the Deep Train mix compilation series, including the seventh volume in (2011). His recording career includes the studio albums Letters from the Jester (1997), Jigsaw Pieces (1997), and Diary of a Lonely Sailor (2002). Cochois became a resident disc jockey at Sven Väth’s Cocoon Club in 2004 and has produced remixes for artists such as Rammstein, Faithless, and Frankie Knuckles. He released the studio albums Paintbox (2005), Soulstickers (2007), and Tiefenschön (2010). His subsequent work includes the albums Kingdom Come (2021) and Dear Human Being (2023).
