Tsidii Le Loka-Lupindo, born April 3, 1968, in Lesotho, is a vocalist and composer from South Africa. She began her musical journey at age 16 when she moved to Johannesburg and joined the group South of Sahara. In 1985, Tsidii Le Loka-Lupindo formed Shadiii with Anneline Malebo and Faith Shadi Kekana, releasing their maxi single "Yes I'm Gonna Give It Up". She later studied Economics and Music at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. In 1996, Tsidii Le Loka-Lupindo originated the role of Rafiki in Disney's Broadway production of The Lion King, for which she received the Drama Desk Award, Drama League Award, and Outer Critics Circle Award, and was nominated for a Tony Award. She also composed an original piece for the musical, "Rafiki Mourns". In 2004, she released her album Here's To The Night.
