Attarazat Addahabia, a Moroccan band founded in 1968 by Abdelakabir Faradjallah in Casablanca, was composed of members from three generations of his family. The group recorded the album Al Hadaoui at Boussiphone studio in 1972. However, this album remained completely unreleased until July 12, 2019, when it was finally issued by Habibi Funk. The album blended '70s American funk with Moroccan Gnawa music, creating a unique sound that garnered attention decades after its initial recording. Al Hadaoui received critical acclaim for its fusion of musical styles and cultural influences, with The Nation describing it as combining "the grit of ’70s American funk with the festive sound of Gnawa."
