Scarlet Fantastic, a British pop band, was formed in 1987 and consisted of Maggie K. De Monde and Rick P. Jones. The duo were former members of the pop trio Swans Way, who had achieved success with their hit "Soul Train" in 1984. Scarlet Fantastic's breakthrough came with the release of their single "No Memory", which reached number 24 on the UK Singles Chart in October 1987. The song gained renewed popularity a few years later within the rave and Ibiza dance music scenes. Following the success of "No Memory", Scarlet Fantastic released their debut album 24 Hours in 1988, which included additional tracks such as "Plug Me In (To the Central Love Line)", "Film Star Kiss", and "Stay". Maggie De Monde went on to perform with The Mighty K and released the album Union as part of the duo Maggie & Martin. She also made guest appearances on various projects, including Empire State Human and glean. In 2016, Maggie De Monde resurrected the Scarlet Fantastic name with the release of her album Reverie and the EP Beyond Pluto. In 2021, Scarlet Fantastic released the singles "Better Day" and "Make Way for Love", produced by HiFi Sean Dickson of The Soup Dragons. These tracks were co-written with John L. Walters of the 1980s band Landscape. In 2026, Scarlet Fantastic return with the album From Montreal to Rotherham.
