Frédéric Porte, commonly known as Fred Porte, is a French film composer who has been active since the 1990s. Also a screenwriter(A la poursuite de l'amour (2005) and Une Suite pour deux (2008)), he is best known for his numerous compositions for TV movies and series. Son of conductor and composer Pierre Porte, Fred Porte has composed for series such as Les Cordier, juge et flic (1998-2005), Alice Nevers, le juge est une femme (2002-2007), Sous le soleil (2008), Avocats & Associés (1998-2010) and Camping Paradis (2008-2015). In January 2015, he composed the music for the two-part TV event L'Emprise, which deals with domestic violence and sent shockwaves through French society. Two of the tracks from the series are even among the best-selling downloads. These are "Sound of Silence", sung by Allison, and "Because of You", sung by Jessica Meige.
