Because of Ghosts was an Australian post-rock band formed in Melbourne in 2002. The group consisted of Reuben Stanton on guitar, accordion, and piano; Domenic Stanton on bass, wine glasses, and glockenspiel; and Jacob Pearce on drums, samples, and glockenspiel. They released their first EP Because of Ghosts in early 2003. Later that year, they released the mini-album Make Amends With Your Adversary Before Dawn. They released the Your House Is Built on a Frozen Lake EP in June 2004. In October 2006, they released their debut full-length album The Tomorrow We Were Promised Yesterday. Because of Ghosts disbanded in 2013.
