Jean-Louis Le Vallégant, born on November 10, 1956, in Lorient, France, is a French musician specializing in traditional Breton music. He began playing the bombard in 1968 and participated in bagad competitions. In the early 1980s, he discovered the saxophone and explored jazz and street theater. His work with the Intercommunal Free Dance Orchestra of François Tusques blended traditional Breton music with jazz. Le Vallégant founded ZAP Musique Piétonne in 1987, performing extensively across Europe and Canada. He joined the bagad Kemperle as a soloist in 1993 and later directed it. Notable albums include N droiad fest (1998) and Les Confidences Sonores (2008). Le Vallégant also held managerial roles, such as being the artist manager of Didier Squiban and Yann-Fañch Kemener, director of Coop Breizh and artistic director for the Planètes Musiques.
