Daniel Martin Moore is an American folk singer-songwriter and producer born in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. After leaving the Peace Corps, Moore mailed an unsolicited demo to Sub Pop Records in January 2007. This led to the 2008 release of his debut studio album, Stray Age, which was co-produced by Joe Chiccarelli. In 2010, he collaborated with Ben Sollee on the album Dear Companion, which addressed mountaintop removal coal mining in Appalachia and featured Jim James. Moore founded the record label Ol Kentuck Recordings in 2011. His discography included the gospel album In the Cool of the Day (2011) and the duo-project Farthest Field (2012) with Joan Shelley. He released the compilation Archives Vol. I in 2013. Subsequent studio recordings included Golden Age (2015), Turned Over to Dreams (2017), and Never Look Away (2019).
