Women, a Canadian indie rock band from Calgary, formed in 2007 with members Patrick Flegel, Christopher Reimer, Matthew Flegel, and Michael Wallace. The group released their debut album, Women, in 2008, via Chad VanGaalen's label Flemish Eye in Canada and Jagjaguwar in the United States. The album received positive reviews from music publications such as Pitchfork and AllMusic. Women extensively toured throughout North America, Europe, and the UK between 2008 and 2009. Following a fight on stage at a show in Victoria, Women went on indefinite hiatus and eventually dissolved after Reimer's passing in February 2012.
