Moottörin Jyrinä is a children's heavy metal band from Helsinki, Finland. The group is known for playing cover songs of classic 1980s heavy metal tracks with new, child-friendly Finnish lyrics that often have an educational tone. The band's name is a parody of Motörhead. Their self-titled debut album was released in 2010 under VL-musiikki Oy. In the following years, they released several albums including Nupit Luoteeseen (2011) and Peikot (2015). Moottörin Jyrinä has performed at both children's and adults' events, showcasing their unique blend of heavy metal and educational content. Notable members include Marko Skou on vocals and bass, Esa Orjatsalo on guitar, Jaakko Halttunen on guitar, and Otto Luotonen on drums. The band has also seen several former members, including Aleksi Parviainen who was with the group from 2005 to 2012.
