Maria Solheim is a Norwegian singer-songwriter born in Norway in 1982. Solheim was revealed in 1999 when they signed with the label Kirkelig Kulturverksted at age 17. Their debut album, Barefoot (2001), was followed by the recordings Behind Closed Doors (2002) and Frail (2004). Solheim's discography includes the album Will There Be Spring (2006). In 2009, they reached Number 1 on the Norwegian charts with the song “Rom for alle” (2009), a collaboration with Hans Erik Dyvik Husby. Subsequent releases include the albums In the Deep (2012), Stories of New Mornings (2018), and The Bird Has Flown (2021). In 2019, they received the Spellemannprisen for the album Bråkebøttebaluba (2019). Solheim participated in Melodi Grand Prix 2021 with the entry “Nordlyset” (2021).
