Pressure 4-5 was an American rock band formed in January 1998 in Santa Barbara, California by vocalist Adam Rich and guitarist Mark Barry. The group consisted of bassist Lyle McKeany, rhythm guitarist Joe Schmidt, and drummer Tom Schmidt. In 1999, they released their independent EP Antechnology and quickly gained a following through performances across California. Pressure 4-5 signed with DreamWorks Records in 2000 and released their debut album Burning the Process in 2001. The band's success included touring with notable acts such as Dredg, The Used, and Lit, as well as performing at Ozzfest 2001 and a sold-out show with Alien Ant Farm following the September 11 terrorist attacks. Their singles "Beat The World" and "Melt Me Down" received airplay on MTV2. Despite their initial success, Pressure 4-5 disbanded in July 2003 after key members left to pursue other interests.
