Mikael Gustaf Lennart Samuelson, born on March 9, 1951, in Njutånger, Hälsingland, Sweden, is a Swedish baritone opera singer. He studied singing, conducting, and violin at Musikhögskolan in the 1970s. Samuelson's early career included performances at Norrlandsoperan, where he sang roles such as Papageno in The Magic Flute and the title role in The Marriage of Figaro. His breakthrough came with the role of the Phantom in the Swedish version of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera, which he performed from 1989 to 1995, earning over 2000 performances. He also appeared in various films and television series, notably playing the ship's captain Rolf Dahlén in the Swedish TV series Rederiet from 1992 to 1994.
