Becky Baeling Lythgoe, born Rebecca Diane Bahling on May 1, 1977, in Rochester Hills, Michigan, is an American singer, actress, producer, and television host. She began performing locally at the age of twelve after starting dance lessons at the age of six. After graduating from the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance, she moved to New York City, where she sang in jazz clubs, performed in regional theater, and recorded commercial jingles before signing with Universal Records in 2003. That same year, she released her debut album Becstasy, which featured the hit single “Getaway,” reaching Number 1 on the U.S. Billboard dance chart. The following year, her single “If You Love Me” peaked at number 3.
