Christine Lidon, born September 29, 1961 in Nice, France, is a French songwriter, singer, and musician. In the 1980s, she was the bassist and vocalist for the Nice-based rock group Les Bandits, known for their single "Barbe Bleue". In 1987, she embarked on a solo career with the album Avalanches, released in 1989, followed by Feu! in 1994. She collaborated with Axel Bauer on the album Sentinelles, notably on the song "Le Voyageur," and gained recognition for writing lyrics for the group Native, including "Si la vie demande ça," which reached number 9 on the Top 50 in 1993. She continued to write songs for artists including Calogero, David Hallyday, Lara Fabian, Nolwenn Leroy, and Sylvie Vartan. In 2015, she released the album Vers La Mer with her band Les Blondes. In June 2023, she became the first woman elected president of SACEM.
