Michita is a producer and DJ born and based in Hokkaido, Japan. He began DJing in 1988, developing his craft at venues such as Club Ghetto, Precious Hall, nome, and THE BOOTH, where he shared stages with numerous artists. A pivotal meeting with B.I.G. JOE led him to focus seriously on production from 2006 onward. In 2007, he contributed to Libyus Music’s compilation Listening is Believing vol.2, followed by a prolific run of releases: his solo albums ONE (2008), TWO (2008), THREE(2009), and the collaborative "SOUL SESSION"(2008) with haiiro de Rossi. His work was later licensed in South Korea through Pastel Music, expanding his reach internationally and leading to performances across Japan, including Fuji Rock Festival ’09. After moving to Ill Dance Music., he released his fourth solo album, Dawning(2009), further defining a signature sound built on soulful and jazz-inflected sampling, cinematic scale, and lyrical depth inspired by Hokkaido’s landscapes. In 2011, he issued SNOW BLAND, a winter-themed album noted for its grandeur and emotional maturity. Continuing to evolve, Michita delivered tracks such as "CRY FOR ME featuring AMI"(2013), blending atmospheric beats with expressive vocals, reinforcing his reputation for refined, emotionally resonant hip-hop production.
