Italian singer Ivan Segreto was born in Sciacca, Sicily, on March 25, 1975. Signed to the Epic label, he has released five albums with jazz musicians, starting with Porta Vagnu (2004), performed in Sicilian dialect, which won over critics and audiences alike. After opening for Franco Battiato, the pianist and singer confirmed his taste for delicate contemporary jazz arrangements with a small group on Fidate correnti (2005). The following year, he took part in the 56th edition of the Sanremo Festival in the young talent category with the song "Con un gesto". His third album, Ampia (2007), features contributions from Battiato, Paolo Fresu and Giovanni Sollima. The musician, based in Cesena, Emilia-Romagna, continued in the same vein but on a different label, Obliqsound, with the album Chiaro (2011) and the EP Ristoro (2011), then signed with BradiLogo for his fifth collection Integra (2014), nominated for the Premio Tenco award. He then collaborates with Graziella De Michele, before returning to the studio for the Mètasi EP (2019), featuring a version of the tune "Nessun dorma", and the Indiehub Studio Session album (2021), some tracks of which are captured live in the studio.
