Trio George Sand (Virginie Buscail, Diana Ligeti et Anne-Lise Gastaldi) is performing in the majority of prestigious musical events and venues, from the Berlioz Festival to the one at La Chaise-Dieu, from the Chopin Festival to the Lisztomanias at Châteauroux, from the International Festival in Besançon to the Musée d’Orsay, from the Folle Journée de Nantes to the International Festivals in Europe, Japan, Canada, USA...
The Trio’s recordings (Debussy, Fauré, Ravel, Schumann, Mozart, Beethoven, Mahler etc ...) have been recognized for their quality several times, notably by being granted an ffff by Télérama.
Its repertory pays special attention to women composers (Fanny Mendelssohn, Clara Schumann, Lili Boulanger, whose work was recorded in a world premiere, Mel Bonis ...) and strives to emphasize contemporary compositions, as illustrated by "Ne pas oublier coq rouge dans jour craquelé", "Lied ohne worte", and "John Conway in gondola", pieces written by, respectively, Gérard Pesson, Michael Jarrell and Mauro Lanza especially for the George Sand Trio.
Trio George Sand is very much present in broadcasts by France Musique, Radio Classique and France Culture. It has also been the object of a news report on LCI (The News Channel) on the occasion of the "Escales Romaines" concert concerning the famous “Prix de Rome” and it’s musicians prizewinners.
In love with art in general, the three musicians work with other artists to create rich and original performances. At the side of singer Juliette, they have done the instrumental part of the book-discs « Marcel Proust, une vie en musiques ». They are the musicians of the show « Avant l’heure où les thés d’après-midi finissaient » starring Loïc Corbery of the Comédie-Française. They work with Marianne Denicourt to create « Wagner », with Anny Duperey to illustrate « des destins de femmes » (“women’s destinies”), or with other actors such Didier Sandre, Clement Hervieu-Léger and Françoise Gillard from the Comédie- Française.
