Alexei Borisov

Alexei Borisov is a Russian musician active in the underground music scene since the early 1980s. He began his career as a guitarist with the new-wave group Center in 1980 and formed the mod band Prospekt the following year, which evolved into Night Prospekt in 1985 with Ivan Sokolovsky. After the dissolution of Night Prospekt in the early 1990s, Borisov joined the duo F.R.U.I.T.S. with Pavel Zhagun and participated in various short-lived art, noise, and industrial projects. In 2000, he co-founded the label N&B Research Digest with Finnish sound artist Anton Nikkila. Borisov has released numerous solo albums, including Typical Human Beings (2004), and Where Are They Now (2007), and has collaborated extensively with Russian and international artists. In 2015, he founded the Fake Cats Project with Igor Levshin and Kirill Makushin.
