Sarah Louise Whatmore, born on September 21, 1981, in Salford, England, is a singer-songwriter known for her contributions to dance and pop music. Raised in Walkden, Whatmore gained initial recognition through her appearance on the first series of the British television show Pop Idol. Following her stint on the show, she was signed to RCA Records by Simon Fuller, which included a worldwide management deal with 19 Entertainment. Whatmore released her debut single "When I Lost You" in September 2002, followed by "Automatic" in 2003. Both singles reached number 20 on the UK Singles Chart. She spent time working on her debut album Living Proof, but it was ultimately canceled after a third single failed to materialize. Several recordings from this period, including "Close To Me" and "Don't Let Me Go", were leaked over the years. Whatmore continued to write songs for herself and other musicians, collaborating with notable figures such as Greg Fitzgerald and Peter John Vettese. In 2009, she released her album Time to Think, which included the single "Smile" featuring a sample of Hall & Oates' "Sara Smile". Her next single from the album was "Undefined". After a hiatus, Whatmore resumed releasing music in 2016 with an EP titled Full Circle.
