Ella O'Connor Williams, known professionally as Squirrel Flower, was born on August 11, 1996 in Massachusetts and is an American musician. She began her musical journey by releasing her first EP Early Winter Songs from Middle America in 2015. In 2016, she released the EP Contact Sports. Her debut album I Was Born Swimming, produced by Gabe Wax, was released in January 2020 via Polyvinyl Records and received critical acclaim from outlets such as Gorilla vs. Bear, NPR Music, and Paste. In May 2020, she released the single "Take It Or Leave It" backed with her cover of Caroline Polachek's "So Hot You’re Hurting My Feelings". She was featured on NPR Tiny Desk for the first time in March 2024.
