Regie Hamm is an American singer-songwriter, producer, musician, and artist. He began playing drums in his father’s Pentecostal band at an early age before attending college. After graduating, he found success as a songwriter, with songs recorded by artists including Kenny Loggins and Jaci Velasquez, among others. He is credited with writing “I Surrender All,” a popular Christian song in the 1990s recorded by Clay Crosse. In 2003, he released his debut solo album American Dreams, which included the Adult Contemporary Top 20 hit “Babies.” This track gained wider recognition after being featured on Delilah Rene’s nationally syndicated radio program. In 2008, Hamm won the American Idol Songwriting Competition with “The Time of My Life,” performed by David Cook in the Season 7 finale. The song was certified platinum by the RIAA in 2008 for over one million digital downloads and reached Number 1 on the Adult Contemporary chart.
