Founded in the early 1970s under the direction of Rev. Arthur T. Jones, The Florida Mass Choir are a powerhouse of gospel music that has brought the uplifting sound of traditional and contemporary gospel to audiences around the world. Based in the heart of Florida, the choir quickly rose to prominence for its rich harmonies, electrifying performances, and dynamic, spirit-filled energy. Composed of a diverse group of talented vocalists, musicians, and songwriters, The Florida Mass Choir blend powerful vocal arrangements with traditional gospel, contemporary Christian, and soul music influences. Known for their soul-stirring renditions of classic gospel hymns as well as original compositions, the choir has earned a dedicated fan base within the gospel music community. Their music carries themes of faith, hope, and perseverance, touching hearts and inspiring believers across generations. Over the years, they’ve released several highly acclaimed albums, including 1985's Storm Clouds Rising, 1990's ...Higher Hope, and 1999's The Treasure. After that, individual members continued to perform and record music, but the group itself ceased to exist.
