Sarband, founded in 1986 by Vladimir Ivanoff, is an international chamber music ensemble known for bridging musical connections between the Orient and Occident. The group released their debut album Cantico in August 1990, followed by Music Of The Emperors in September 1991. Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, they performed at notable festivals such as the Horizonte - Berliner Festspiele (1989) and Istanbul-Festival (1991). Notable albums include Llibre Vermell (November 1993), Sephardic Songs (August 1997), Pilgrims Of The Soul (October 2003), and The Arabian Passion (March 2009). Sarband earned several accolades, including a Grammy nomination in 1992.
