Roger Beglinger (born 6 October 1973 in Zürich, Switzerland, died 14 August 2011), known as DJ Energy, was a Swiss DJ whose career comprised mostly trance music. He first appeared on the scene in the late 1980s and gained prominence in the 1990s through the Energy rave series at the Hallenstadion, where he became the resident DJ and produced the event’s signature themes such as "Set You Free" (1998) and "Energy 99" (1999). He released Excelsis, Ayra in 2003, and the EP Serenity on 5 December 2003; followed by Captain Future (25 August 2006). His collaborations with DJ Tatana yielded tracks like "End of Time" (1999) and "Feel" (2001). Roger Beglinger’s output was regularly featured on the annual Energy compilations and he maintained a presence at the Street Parade, producing official anthems such as "Peace!" (2002). His sudden death in 2011 at age 37 was attributed to a mixed intoxication.
