PPK, a Russian electronic music group based in Rostov-sur-le-Don, was formed in 1999 by Alexander Poliakov and Sergei Pimenov. Their music was characterized by its trance and electronic elements, which resonated with audiences worldwide. Their early releases, including the mini-CD Resurection (mcd) on December 3rd, 2001, set the stage for their later successes. The duo gained international recognition with their breakthrough single "ResuRection" released on December 3rd, 2001. This track, inspired by the theme "La mort du héros" from the film Sibériade, was initially available for free download on MP3.com and garnered millions of downloads, leading to a contract with Paul Oakenfold's Perfecto Records. Oakenfold also provided a remix of "ResuRection". The group's success continued with releases such as "Reload" in 2002, which was a remix of the track "Zodiac" by the Latvian group Zodiak. PPK released their debut album Formation on January 12th, 2007. Despite disbanding in 2004, Alexander Pimenov continued to work on remixes and Sergei Poliakov released a single titled "Mon cœur" featuring Kate Cameron in 2009. The group reunited briefly in 2010.
