The Breakers, a Danish rock band consisting of Toke Nisted (vocals), Anders Bruus (guitar), and Jackie Larsen (bass), were formed in Copenhagen in 2002. Influenced by bands like the Faces and the Rolling Stones, they released their debut album What I Want in 2004 on Sony Denmark. Their second album, Here for a Laugh, was released in Denmark in 2006 and later in the USA and Canada in 2007 under Funzalo Records. In May 2007, Steven Van Zandt named their single "Dance the Go-Go" (2006) the Coolest Song in the World on his Underground Garage radio show. They signed with Wicked Cool Records in June 2008 and released their third album The Breakers in 2011, produced by Van Zandt and mixed by Bob Clearmountain. The band disbanded in 2013.
