Hailing from Latvia, Riga, Aija’s musical journey began at the tender age of 6 when she discovered her passion for the piano. Over the years, she immersed herself in various musical pursuits, from singing in choirs to playing bass in indie- and post-rock bands.
In 2013, a transformative moment led Aija to Barcelona, bidding farewell to her finance job and bandmates. Reconnecting with her childhood instrument, the piano, became a catalyst for her to channel her creative energy into original compositions. Aija’s next chapter unfolded in London in 2015, where she earned an MSc in Composition for Film and Media. Since 2019, she’s been back in Riga, infusing her compositions with a rich blend of experiences.
For Aija, music is more than notes; it’s a refuge from the mundane, a journey into the depths of emotion. Currently, her focus is on modern classical compositions for film, commercials, and standalone releases. ?✨
