ACO, born on February 3, 1977, in Nagoya, Japan, is a singer and songwriter known for her contributions to electronic music and electro pop. ACO's musical journey began with the release of her debut single "Fuan na no" in 1995 under Sony Music Japan. Her early work was influenced by R&B, but she later transitioned towards electro pop. From 1995 to 1998, ACO released three albums and six singles, including Absolute Ego (1999) and The Other Side of Absolute Ego (2000), although these early releases did not achieve high chart positions. Her breakthrough came with the single "Yorokobi ni Saku Hana" (1999), which was used as the theme song for the series Suna no Ue no Koibito-tachi and sold approximately 300,000 copies in Japan. This success propelled her fourth album, Absolute Ego (1999), to sell over 100,000 copies. In 2004, ACO achieved significant success with her collaboration on Dragon Ash’s single "Grateful Days", which sold over 900,000 copies. Her subsequent album Irony (2004) marked a further evolution in her musical style. Additionally, ACO co-founded the band Golden Pink Arrow♂ with Taeji Sawai in 2005, although their activities were limited to live performances. In 2010, she released her album Devil's Hands.
