Yolanda Pérez, born May 20, 1983 in Los Angeles, California, is an American singer-songwriter known for her work in banda music. At age 11, Pérez won a local music contest in Lynwood, which led to the recording of her debut album. She graduated from Montclair High School in 2001 and continued her musical journey with subsequent albums such as Aqui Me Tienes (2004) and Todo de Mi (2008). Pérez signed with Fonovisa Records, part of the Univision Music Group, which significantly boosted her career. Her music evolved to include modern elements like rap and Spanglish phrasing in songs such as "Estoy Enamorada" featuring Don Cheto. In 2005, she was nominated for an Urban Artist of the Year award at the 17th Lo Nuestro Awards. Pérez has also been involved in public service announcements and charitable work, including volunteering for the "Got Milk" campaign in 2006.
