RinneRadio, a Finnish electronic music band founded in 1988 by Tapani Rinne, is known for pioneering a fusion of jazz, techno, and world music. The group's eponymous debut album, RinneRadio, was released in 1988. Their second album, Dance and Visions, was released in 1990, blending electronic rhythms with ambient textures and saxophone melodies. Early collaborations included notable Finnish musicians like Raoul Björkenheim and Iro Haarla. In 1994, the band received the Jazz Emma Award for their album Unik, marking a significant milestone in their career. RinneRadio's breakthrough came with the release of RoK in 1996, which peaked at number 22 on the Official Finnish Album Chart and won the Golden Pumpeli Award for its music video "Aromaa AltToo". The band continued to evolve with albums like G, released in 1998, and Nao in 2001. Throughout their career, RinneRadio collaborated with various DJs and musicians, including Mika Vainio of Pan Sonic and Jori Hulkkonen.
