FANALI is a multidisciplinary project crafting cinematic music experimenting with live looping. Composed by musicians Michele De Finis, Jonathan Maurano, and Caterina Bianco, the project merges sound and visuals in collaboration with artist Sabrina Cirillo and sound engineer Antonio Dafe.
Their debut album Shidoro Modoro (2020) featured guest appearances such as Pietro Santangelo (Nu Genea), followed by an official Lou Reed tribute under the artistic direction of Laurie Anderson, alongside Willem Dafoe and Anohni. This experience led to Pale Blue Eyes – Lou Reed Reimagined, created with leading figures from the Italian independent scene.
The three of them being licensed by Soundinside Records.
FANALI has also toured with a live soundtrack for Dziga Vertov’s Man with a Movie Camera. Their latest album I’m in Control (2024) blends expansive electronics with songcraft, gaining strong acclaim. In 2025, they will release Nun me scetà – FANALI plays Sergio Bruni and Roberto Murolo via the historic Phontype Records.
