Musical Island Boys, a barbershop quartet from Wellington, New Zealand, formed in 2002 at Tawa College. The group initially gained recognition by competing in their first international barbershop contest in 2004 and won the International Collegiate Contest in 2006. Their debut album, Musical Island Boys, was released in 2006, followed by Once Upon a Time (2009), Dream (2013), and Four (2015). The quartet achieved significant success with their second-place finishes at the International Barbershop Championships in 2011, 2012, and 2013. In 2014, Musical Island Boys won the International Quartet Championship at the Barbershop Harmony Society's annual international convention in Las Vegas. The group is known for its diverse cultural background, with members Matt Gifford, Marcellus Washburn, Jeff Hunkin, and Will Hunkin.
