Hani Adnan Al-Bader, born in 1993 in the United States, is an American DJ and electronic music producer known as Hani. He began DJing in Kuwait as a teenager, recording cassette mixes before relocating to Denver for college where he purchased synthesizers and drum machines from pawn shops and learned to produce acid house tracks for labels such as Planet‑e and Yoshitoshi. His breakthrough came in 1999 with the single "Baby Wants to Ride", which topped the US Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart on 19 February 1999. Throughout the 2000s he released numerous remixes for high‑profile artists, including Michael Jackson, Jay‑Z, and Alicia Keys, and collaborated with vocalists Jason Walker, Andrea Martin, and Faith Trent. In 2006 he founded Soterios Records to retain full control of his work. Hani’s production "Middle Of The Night" with Andrea Martin reached the top ten on the US dance charts in 2006, and his track "Foolish Mind Games" with Jason Walker achieved a Billboard Number One position in 2015.
