Meu primeiro álbum nasceu, família! Visão Periférica tá na pista
If making revolution is breaking bonds and transpassing boundaries, welcome to the revolutionary - and enchanting - universe of Ebony. An artist in the purest essence of the word, a self learning person with a strong personality, a twenty-one-year-old black woman.
Precise lines, sharp rhymes and experimental sonorities portray the reality and background of a creative mind that knows precisely from where she came from and, mainly, to where she's heading.
A story that began to be told in March 2019 with CA$H CA$H - a single entirely made on the tips of her fingers with a mobile app and released with no higher expectations on the best 'all by herself' style - was only the prelude of a journey that reflects all the potential of an artist who is well aware of her mission and of the effects of her music in society.
Also in 2019, Ebony releases the independent singles BratZ, Glossy and XOXO, pieces that bring all the artist's multitask personality to business: either by being the one responsible for the art cover production, as in BratZ and Glossy, or by being the co-director of the music video of XOXO, in which she shares the direction with Felipe Larozza and his crew.
Well, what came up from all this? The GENIUS Brazil Award of Rap Best New Artist, specialized media editorial highlights, such as RollingStone Brasil, the opportunity of featuring on PineApple Storm's project "Poetisas no Topo" and the invitation to cast Spotify Brasil documentary movie on the Trap brazilian scene, being the only woman among names as Matuê, Recayd and Raffa Moreira, what made her to be known as "the first brazilian girl of Trap".
In 2020 Ebony released Condessa, her first EP. With six tracks, productions by Celo, AJ, Nagalli, Paiva and Pedro Lotto, feats with Sidoka and Yunk Vino, and compositions that talk about fear, desire, power relationships and her own personal experiences, Condessa states Ebony as one of the greatest highlights of brazilian's new trap generation.
In a bit more than a couple of years of career, Ebony has more than 20M Spotify streams, surpasses the mark of 10M views on YouTube (among her own music videos and special features), and collabs with big Rap and Trap names, such as FBC, WillsBife, Kmila CDD, Sidoka, Borges, Cynthia Luz, Dfideliz, Steffanie, Jaaya, VK Mac, Meno Tody, SOS (Uclã), Lourena, DuduMC and Yunk Vino.
These times of uncertainty and reclusion as the ones we are living in are serving as creativity fuel to Ebony. 2021 states the beginning of a new and important stage in her career, reflecting an artistic and personal ripening in which quite special news are about to come out filled with sincere and powerful messages.
Stay tuned, bitches!
