Zhadan i Sobaky (Жадан і Собаки), a Ukrainian ska punk band from Kharkiv, was formed in 2000 as Sobaky v Kosmosi. The group initially released two studio albums, Vafli (Вафли) and Gruppa ishchet Prodyusera (Группа ищет Продюсера). Starting in 2008, they began collaborating with famous Kharkiv-based writer Serhiy Zhadan, and released albums under the transitional name Serhiy Zhadan i Sobaky v Kosmosi, including "Zbroya Proletariatu" ("Зброя пролетаріату") in 2012. The band later officially changed its name to Zhadan i Sobaky. Under this moniker, they released the album Byisya za Neyi (Бийся за неї) in 2014. Their discography also includes Psy (Пси) (2016) and Madonna (Мадонна) (2019). The group has performed at various Ukrainian festivals such as Tavriyski Ihry, Raz. Liv, Muzychyi Ostriv, 5 ozer, MazepaFest, and Den Nezalezhnosti z Makhnom. Serhiy Zhadan serves as the lead vocalist and primary lyricist.
