Farside was an American hardcore punk band formed in Orange County, California, United States, in 1989. The original lineup included Michael "Popeye" Vogelsang on vocals and guitar, Robert Haworth on guitar, Josh Stanton on bass, and Robert Beshear on drums. Their first release was the Keep My Soul Awake EP in 1991. Farside's debut full-length album, Rochambeau, was released in 1992 via Revelation Records. The band underwent several lineup changes, including a brief stint with Zack de la Rocha on guitar and Kevin Murphy joining as guitarist/vocalist in 1993. Their subsequent releases included Scrap (1994), Rigged (1994), and the EP Farside (1995). The band's final album, The Monroe Doctrine, was released in 1999. Farside disbanded shortly after their final tour in 2000. Their song "Seven Day Constant" from The Monroe Doctrine was featured in the 2001 video game Amped: Freestyle Snowboarding.
